How often do you get a chance to make a difference in someone's life just by staying in a lovely, centrally located B&B? That's what makes Bed and Breakfast at the Learning Center different. Its owner, Gary Titus, uses the proceeds from his B&B to support the Learning Center. The Learning Center helps young men and women who come to Oaxaca from outlying pueblos with personalized guidance and tutoring, support for their education, and job training.

Visitors can simply enjoy the two comfortable rooms, each with a very modern bathroom and shower, or stay in the spacious two-room upstairs apartment, which features an extremely well-equipped kitchen. Rooms cost 35 per night for one person, $40 for two; $210/$240 per week; or $550/ month. The apartment rents for $55 per night or $600 a month. All rooms have screened doors and windows, which is rare in Oaxaca.

But you'll also have the chance to get to know Gary, meet some of the delightful young men and women he's working with, and gain a deeper insight into Oaxaca.
