Las Mariposas B&B

Our favorite B&B is Las Mariposas, at Pino Suárez 517. Rooms are nicely decorated, including ten brand new rooms and suites. There are two lovely patios for relaxing, including one where a family-style breakfast is provided and people (many of them guests who return year after year) gather to chat at the end of the day. The multi-talented owner, Teresa Villareal, is one of the most helpful and well-informed contacts you could have in Oaxaca. Las Mariposas is just a couple of blocks from Santo Domingo church and Llano Park, one of the prettiest spots in town. Free internet access is provided, including wireless if you’ve brought your own laptop.  Guests can also make low-cost phone calls to the US and Canada from the office.  Double rooms start at $40 without tax; rooms with kitchenettes are also available at a slightly higher rate.
